Microsoft Boosts Brazil’s Economy

Microsoft is investing US$2.7 billion in Brazil to enhance cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities, providing digital infrastructure, skills training, and economic growth. This investment aims to support Brazil’s digital transformation and economic growth through technology investment and skills development. This initiative is part of the broader programme to support Brazil’s digital transformation.

The investment is expected to have a significant economic impact, with the potential to add up to 4.2 percentage points to Brazil’s economic growth by the end of the decade. Microsoft has also committed to providing AI training to approximately 5 million people in Brazil over the next three years. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for AI skills in the workforce and ensure the benefits of AI technology are widely distributed.
