Digital Employment Contracts in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has introduced electronic employment contracts, requiring both employers and employees to validate the contract using an electronic digital signature (EDS) within the Unified National Labor System (UNLS) platform. This move aims to streamline employment processes and enhance transparency. The electronic contract must be signed by both parties through their personal accounts.

All employers must use the UNLS platform to enter into electronic employment contracts and register paper contracts within the system. The government has been promoting online registration of employment contracts since 2020. Electronic employment books with open access for employees were also introduced to facilitate the addition of information on previous workplaces.
