France – UAE to Build Data Centre

France and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to develop a 1-gigawatt data center dedicated to artificial intelligence, representing a massive investment of $30-$50 billion. This strategic partnership aims to create a robust AI ecosystem, fostering collaborations on projects and investments that support the development of the AI value chain. The investments will focus on both French and Emirati AI, cutting-edge chips, data centers, talent development, and virtual data embassies.

The partnership is part of a broader effort to establish France and Europe as key players in the AI landscape, rivaling the US and China. A summit on artificial intelligence in Paris will gather around 100 countries to explore AI’s potential, with the French government already identifying 35 sites to host AI data centers.
