China Unveils Blockchain Strategy

China has unveiled its ‘National Data Infrastructure Construction Guidelines,’ placing blockchain technology at the center of its strategy to enhance data security, transparency, and scalability. The guidelines aim to establish a blockchain-powered data infrastructure nationwide by 2029. This will advance the country’s digital transformation goals and support secure, large-scale data exchanges.

The initiative focuses on creating “trusted data spaces” that enable multi-party data sharing with privacy and ownership guarantees. Blockchain-driven data markets will allow the tokenization and secure trading of data assets, unlocking new revenue streams. The guidelines emphasize combining blockchain with advanced privacy technologies to safeguard sensitive information.
