The European Union’s new Construction Products Regulation officially takes effect, replacing the 2011 rules to modernize the industry and boost competitiveness across the EU Single Market.
The regulation introduces Digital Product Passports, which provide comprehensive product information, including performance, safety data, and sustainability metrics. These digital records will also enable reliable carbon footprint calculations for entire buildings. The EU aims to lead in innovative, sustainable construction while increasing sector productivity and reducing environmental impacts.
