India: Indore’s Smart City Goes Global

Indore Smart City’s innovative waste management and urban development strategies have gained international recognition, with 10 Indonesian cities expressing interest in adopting the model. The city’s advancements in waste segregation, recycling, and circular economy models were showcased at a recent event. Indore’s innovative approaches and sanitation achievements were highlighted as significant contributors to urban development.

The event, organized by AIILSG and UCLG ASPAC, aimed to promote urban practices, strengthen waste management, and enhance climate and environmental sustainability. Representatives from Indonesian cities participated in a City Pairing session, where they learned about Indore’s best innovations. The session facilitated knowledge sharing and collaboration between cities.
