India to Produce Indigenous Chip

India’s semiconductor industry is set to achieve a major milestone with the production of its first indigenous semiconductor chip by 2025. The government has initiated a program to train 85,000 engineers in advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, ensuring a skilled workforce for the future. India is making strides in semiconductor manufacturing, with five units currently under construction. The electronics sector is now among India’s top three export categories, with key exports including mobile devices, laptops, and servers.
