Indonesia’s ASEAN Smart City Vision

Indonesia has outlined three key elements for smart city development, focusing on inclusive and culturally-aware livable cities, resilient green cities with strong public order and community protection, and digital-based government services to spur community welfare. These elements are crucial for the country’s urban transformation and will be proposed to the ASEAN Smart City Network framework.

The country aims to collaborate with ASEAN member countries and partners, such as Japan, to drive innovation and technology utilization. A smart city maturation scheme is being prepared for all local governments, with four pilot cities already underway. This initiative opens up opportunities for investment and collaboration through a comprehensive strategic partnership approach.
