Papua’s Digital Village Initiative

The Papua provincial government is encouraging all village governments to adopt digital administration, following the successful implementation in Jayapura’s Doyo Baru village. Digitalization is seen as a key indicator of change in various aspects of life, including village development. The digital village program aims to create more advanced, independent, and prosperous villages through technology.

The program’s main goal is to facilitate public services, such as village administration and population data management. It also aims to improve the economy by promoting local products through social media and enhancing education and health sectors through technology-based information. The government invites all elements of Papuan society to support the sustainability of the digitalization program.
