Samsung’s Smart City Vision

Samsung has begun building smart homes in Busan, South Korea, as part of the Eco Delta City project. The company has provided various household appliances for 56 homes in Smart Village, the first complex within the city. Smart Village will implement innovative technology in five areas, including health, robots, and the environment. Residents will be able to live and use smart homes over the next five years.

Residents of Smart Village will be able to control devices with the help of the SmartThings application. Samsung will provide 15 different products, including refrigerators, washing machines, and QLED TVs. Various services will be offered to improve the quality of life, making Smart Village a “living laboratory” for smart city technology. The project aims to showcase the benefits of smart city living and provide a model for future developments.
