Thailand’s New Biometric System

Thailand’s airports are introducing a new facial recognition technology to streamline passenger identification and reduce wait times. The automated biometric identification system will be implemented in six airports, including Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang International Airport. This technology aims to provide a faster and more convenient experience for travelers.

Passengers can complete biometric enrollment at airline counters or self-check-in kiosks. The system will capture facial data alongside passport scans, registered with a single-use consent. This technology is expected to enhance the overall travel experience, making it more efficient and secure.
