Pakistan has launched “Uraan Pakistan,” a bold economic initiative aiming to transform the country into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The five-year plan focuses on exports, digital transformation, and sustainability to drive economic growth. It seeks to empower Pakistan’s youth through education and digital advancements, ensuring they play a key role in economic progress. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a key pillar of this strategy.
The initiative is structured around the Five-E Framework, emphasizing exports, digital economy, climate change, energy and infrastructure, and equality. A National Economic Transformation Unit has been established to oversee progress and ensure effective implementation. The plan prioritizes expanding cultivable land and improving water storage capacity to support sustainable development. It promises to position Pakistan as a global techno-economic hub through AI and freelancing.
